Meet Trent
Founder and Principal Designer
Trent started in the landscape industry 15 years ago, behind a shovel, learning the ins and outs of the construction side of the business before becoming Lead Designer for one of the most prominent landscape construction companies in the Lower Mainland. Along the way, he realized that most homeowners feel completely overwhelmed when it comes to creating their dream yard. Either they didn’t know where to start, or there was just way too much information and inspiration out there that the choices become paralyzing. So, he started Ground Break Design and created a process to help fix that.
Today, he designs using his OASIS Method to help people across Canada transform their outdoor spaces with confidence, creativity, and clarity. He is the author of Taking Your Yard from Overwhelm to Oasis and he regularly speaks on this topic at the Home and Garden Shows across Canada, and in outlets like Global TV and The Vancouver Sun.
But more than anything, he’s a dedicated husband and father, and just a genuinely curious person. He’s always enjoyed learning about other people’s lives and perspectives, which is what ultimately led him to a profession where he creates places where people can connect with the things and people they love.
