About Us
Ground Break Design is a residential landscape design company founded by Trent Brown. Starting his career in 2010 with a shovel in hand, Trent learned the ins and outs of construction before completing horticulture training and moving into sales, estimating, and eventually design for one of the most prominent landscape construction companies in Vancouver, BC. Working across every aspect of landscape construction gave Trent invaluable insight into homeowners’ experiences during renovations. He often heard horror stories from various clients about poor craftsmanship, lack of communication, unexpected costs, and contractors who didn’t show up. These issues create distrust and make the landscape industry seem unprofessional, which Trent is determined to change.
