1. Eligibility: The giveaway is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are 18 years of age or older and own their home. Employees of the Sponsors, as well as their immediate family members and persons living in the same household, are not eligible to participate.

2. Giveaway Period: The giveaway begins on February 17, 2025, at 8:00 AM PST and ends on March 17, 2025, at 8:00 AM PST (the "Giveaway Period"). Entries submitted outside this period will not be considered.

3. How to Enter: Participants may enter the giveaway through one of the following methods:

• Fill out and submit the appropriate form found at groundbreakdesign.com/landscape-reno-giveaway. Limited to one entry per participant.
• Follow all three specified social media accounts and tag someone in the giveaway post. Each tag counts as one entry, up to a maximum of 50 entries per participant.
• Opt-in when purchasing tickets to the 2025 BC Home and Garden Show. 
• Enter in person at the 2025 BC Home and Garden Show. Participants who enter in person will receive a bonus of 10 entries.

4. Prize Details: The giveaway prize consists of a $20,000 landscape renovation package, which includes a $10,000 landscape design service and a $10,000 construction credit.

• The project must take place within Canada, specifically in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia or the Fraser Valley of British Columbia.
• The construction project must have a minimum total value of $50,000 to be eligible for the $10,000 construction credit.
• The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
• Projects that have already been completed or have received a quote from the Sponsors prior to the giveaway period are not eligible.

5. Winner Selection & Notification:

• The winner will be selected through a draw conducted after the giveaway period ends.
• The winner will be notified by email and phone call using the contact details provided during entry.
• The winner has 12 months from the date of notification to claim the prize and initiate the construction project. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the prize.

6. Modifications & Cancellations: Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the giveaway at any time if circumstances arise that are beyond their control or if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the giveaway.

7. Liability & Disclaimers:

• By entering this Giveaway, participants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsors, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or losses arising from participation in the giveaway or acceptance and use of the prize.
• Any additional costs beyond the stated prize amount, including but not limited to additional construction expenses beyond the $10,000 credit, are the responsibility of the winner.
• By accepting a prize in this Giveaway, each winner grants the Sponsors, where permitted by law, the right to use and publish (worldwide and via the Internet) his/her name, city and province of residence, portrait, image, picture, voice, likeness and comments for advertising, trade and promotional purposes without notification, review or approval, and without additional consideration. 
• A winner’s prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner (selected by random drawing in accordance with these terms and conditions upon the occurrence of any of the following: (i) the failure of winner to confirm acceptance of the prize and return any required documents/information within seven (7) days of prize notification; (ii) the return of a prize or prize notification to Sponsor as non-deliverable; or (iii) the determination by Sponsors that the winner is ineligible or otherwise not in compliance with these terms and conditions.

8. Choice of Law: 

• By registering to enter the Giveaway, each entrant acknowledges he/she has read, understands and will abide by these terms and conditions. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these terms and conditions, or the rights and obligations of entrants and/or Sponsors in connection with the Giveaway, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of British Columbia, without regard to the conflict of laws principles. In the event of any inconsistency between the full version of these terms and conditions and any abbreviated rules, the full version of these terms and conditions shall prevail.

9. Privacy: 

• Except as provided above relating to the use of certain winner information, the personal information collected from each entrant with respect to the Giveaway will be used by Sponsors for the purposes of administration of the Giveaway and will not be used for any other purpose. If, on the entry form, you opt in to marketing-related emails, you may receive email communications from Sponsors for marketing and promotional purposes. Regardless of your selections, all personal information collected will be treated in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy.

By participating in this giveaway, entrants agree to abide by these terms and conditions and all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations in Canada. Failure to comply may result in disqualification at the sole discretion of Ground Break Design and Vandenberg Landscapes.
